If your Discover accounts were previously connected to EveryDollar, you may see a connection error. To restore your connection, you'll need to reconnect your Discover accounts through Capital One.
Why am I seeing this error?
Discover is changing how third-party apps connect to customer accounts following Capital One's acquisition of Discover. As Discover customers begin using Capital One's banking platform, you will reconnect your Discover accounts to EveryDollar through Capital One.
How can I fix it?
To reconnect your Discover accounts, follow these steps:
- Remove the current connection to Discover.
- Head to the Accounts page.
- Select the ellipsis icon next to Discover.
- Choose Remove Institution.
- Add your new connection to Capital One.
- On the Accounts page, select the Connect Accounts option.
- For your Discover accounts, choose Capital One from the list of institutions or search for Capital One.
- Follow the prompts to securely sign in through Plaid.
Plaid's connection isn't working.
EveryDollar supports two different third-party bank connection providers, Plaid and Mastercard Connect. If you run into any issues connecting through Plaid, you can try Mastercard Connect instead. Follow these steps to connect:
- Go to Accounts.
- Select Connect Accounts.
- Select Having Trouble? Try our other connection service, Mastercard Connect.
- Search for and select Capital One.
- Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the connection.
Still need help?
