At times, you may experience an issue with your bank connection. While we never want your connection to be interrupted, it can happen when a change is made by the institution or our connection providers.
Let's dig in and get your budgeting back on track.
Error Messages
If there is an error code present on the account, address the prompt underneath it to remove the code. If there is an error code present on the account with no prompt, no worries. You'll find our codes listed here: Bank Error Codes.
Transaction Streaming
If you connect your banks, and notice that your transactions haven't immediately imported to your budget. No need to panic. Here's what's happening:
When you first connect (or reconnect banks), your account balances will update and transactions will appear within 24-48 business hours. While we wish the process was instant, a delay occurs because banks have their own rate at which they make transactions available for syncing.
If 72 hours have passed since the initial connection, and you still haven't seen your transactions come through, send us a message and we'll be glad to help.
Missing and Delayed Transactions
Each institution sets its own standard for how frequently transactions move from pending to posted (or cleared) status. EveryDollar only imports posted transactions, so if your transactions haven't cleared yet, it might take a bit longer for your transactions to come through. It's typical to see a one or two business day gap before your posted transactions are submitted to EveryDollar.

Duplicate Transactions
If a transaction comes through twice, check the Accounts page and verify that your bank is only listed one time. If it's only listed once, and you're seeing duplicates still, reach out to our team.
