Have you ever opened your budget and found a transaction listed more than once?
There are a few reasons that can cause duplicate transactions to appear from a connected bank or financial institution in EveryDollar.
Why Am I Seeing Duplicate Transactions?
One of the most common causes is that your bank accounts are listed more than once in the Accounts tab. Here’s how to check:
Open the Accounts tab in EveryDollar.
Look for any duplicate listings of your bank or any sub-accounts (like checking, savings, or credit cards).
If you see the same account listed more than once, delete the extra connection(s). This will help prevent duplicate transactions moving forward.
If everything looks correct in yourAccounts tab and you're still seeing duplicate transactions, please reach out to us. Here are a few details that will help us investigate:
The dates, amounts, and merchant names of the duplicate transactions.
Screenshots of the duplicates (optional, but very helpful) free of any personally identifiable information.
A short note confirming you’ve already checked for duplicate account listings.
With that information, our team will investigate to determine the cause of the issue.
