Bank connection has always been a feature that's included with an EveryDollar Premium membership. It isn't available with the free version of EveryDollar.
If you're expecting to see bank connection but don't have an active Premium membership, upgrading to EveryDollar Premium will give you access to this feature. New EveryDollar budgeters can begin a free, 14-day trial to try out Bank Connection here!
If you have EveryDollar Premium, you can securely connect your bank to automatically import transactions into your budget. If you're using the free version, you'll need to add transactions manually.
To connect your bank on EveryDollar.com:
- Sign in to your account from EveryDollar.com on a computer or laptop.
- Click the Accounts icon in the left menu bar.
- Click Connect Account, then select Search For Your Institution with Plaid.
- Follow the prompts to search for your bank by name or website (i.e. First Bank or firstbank.com). If you already have another bank account added, click Connect Account to search for a different bank.
- Manually enter the same credentials you use to sign in to your bank's website (we advise against using a username/password auto-fill service to ensure accurate entry).
- Follow and answer any security prompts (i.e. one-time passcode, security question), if applicable.
- Follow any other prompts to complete the connection process.
To connect your bank through the EveryDollar app:
- Sign in through the mobile app.
- Tap the Accounts icon at the bottom of the screen.
- Tap Connect Account.
- Tap Search For Your Institution with Plaid. Follow the prompts to search for your bank by name or website (i.e. First Bank OR firstbank.com).
- Manually enter the same login information you normally use to sign in to your bank's website (don't use an autofill). Be sure to answer any security prompts (i.e. one-time passcode, security question) correctly.
- Tap Submit.
- Complete any Verification prompts.
