If you and your spouse have separate online banking credentials at the same financial institution, you can connect the same bank multiple times in EveryDollar.
This can be helpful when some accounts are only visible under one person's login credentials and other accounts are only visible under the other person's login credentials.
How It Works
EveryDollar allows you to add the same financial institution more than once using different online banking usernames and passwords.
For example:
- Spouse A logs in to Bank XYZ and can see their checking account and credit card.
- Spouse B logs in to Bank XYZ and can see a different checking account, savings account, or credit card.
- To bring all accounts into EveryDollar, each spouse's login can be connected separately.
How to Connect the Same Bank Again
- On web, follow the steps outlined here: How to Add a Bank on EveryDollar.com
- On mobile, follow the steps outlined here: How to Add a Bank on EveryDollar Mobile
Once connected, EveryDollar will import the accounts associated with that login.
Pro Tips:
- If you see duplicate accounts after reconnecting, verify which accounts belong to each login before removing any connections.
- If both logins have access to the same account, you may see duplicate transactions. In that case, you can remove the duplicate account connection or turn off the transaction streaming.
- Some banks may allow joint account holders to see all accounts under either login, while others only display accounts associated with a specific user profile.
