Deleting an individual debt on the EveryDollar website or app is easy! Here are the steps to delete a Debt Item for each version.
How to Delete a Debt on the EveryDollar.com
- Click on the name of the Debt Item you want to delete. A trash can icon appears to the left of the Debt Item.
- Click the trash can icon. A confirmation box will pop up asking you to confirm.
- Click "I Still Want to Delete" to confirm.
How to Delete a Debt on EveryDollar Mobile
- Scroll down to the "Debt" section.
- Select the debt that you want to edit.
- On the next screen, scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Budget Item.
- A confirmation tab will pop up asking you to confirm.
- Tap "I Still Want to Delete".
Note: There is not a way to delete debt items from past budget months.
Pro Tip: The entire "Debt" group cannot be deleted, but it can be moved. Consider moving the whole group to the bottom of the budget to get it out of the way.
