Changing the order of whole Budget Categories or Groups (i.e. Giving, Savings, Lifestyle, Debt, etc.) can be done on the EveryDollar at everydollar.com or on the EveryDollar app. Individual line items (or what we call Budget Lines) can only be moved up and down within their Budget Group.
How to change the order of Budget Groups on the website:
1. Hover the mouse over the Budget Group you want to move.
2. Click the icon with six dots (left of the group title) and drag the Budget Group.
3. Drop it where you want it to go and you're all set!
How to change the order of Budget Groups on the app:
1. Log in, and when you're on the main Budget page, tap the two arrows at the top right.
2. On the sub-screen that pulls up, tap and hold the Budget Group you want to move.
3. Move it to the new location you like and release it, then tap Save at the bottom.
There is no function available to delete some Budget Groups (Income, Debt, Giving, Savings) at this time. If you are debt-free, you may consider moving the "Debt" group to the bottom of your budget so it is no longer prominent.
