Most of the time, you edit the balance of a debt the old-fashioned way by making a payment. Other times the balance needs to be changed if a payment hasn't been made in a while, or to factor in interest charges.
That process can be done in just a few seconds on the EveryDollar app. Here's how.
- Select the debt you wish to edit.
- On the next screen, tap Debt Details.
- Type in the updated information, then tap Done at the bottom right.
- Tap the blue Save button.
Pro Tip: EveryDollar doesn't currently factor in interest rates, so to get the correct balance after making a payment, you can either enter a new balance or reduce the net payment amount.
