What happens when you connect your bank for the first time?
After connecting to a bank for the first time or reconnecting, it takes between 24 to 48 hours for the initial import. This import will include transactions from the first of the current month to the present.
Our team can send through transactions from the past 60 days upon request. Just submit a help request with the specific date range you'd like.
Here are some important things to know about transaction streaming:
- Banks don't typically post transactions during weekends or holidays. Most transactions from this time frame should appear in EveryDollar by Tuesday of the following week.
- Banks may put additional holds on some deposits and expenses, which can cause a further delay.
- As a best practice, we recommend regularly referencing your bank statement or checking your bank account online to make sure transactions are coming through in the expected time frame.
- Your transactions will not be imported into EveryDollar until they are actually "posted" to your bank's website. Transactions that are "pending" do not come through from most banks because banks typically do not submit unfinished data. The time frame is usually 24-48 hours from the time the purchase has been "posted" to your bank's website before they show up in EveryDollar
- Most banks will not post transactions over the weekend or on major holidays, so that may cause a further delay!
💡 Pro Tip: If you are seeing "Pending" transactions, it is likely that your bank is one of a select few that submits unfinished "Pending" data alongside "Posted" transactions. This may cause a duplication in EveryDollar.
