Have you ever created a Fund that you don't need in your budget anymore? Us too. That's why the Funds in your budget can be deleted just like a regular line item.
Pro Tip: The Emergency Fund cannot be deleted. More about the Emergency Fund is located at the bottom of this article.
Deleting Funds
To delete a Fund on EveryDollar.com:
Click on the Fund name. You'll see a trash can icon will appear to the left of the Fund name.
Click on the trash can icon. You'll then see a window pop-up on your screen to confirm your choice.
- Click Delete. This will delete the Fund.
To delete a Fund in the EveryDollar app:
- Tap on the Fund name you'd like to delete. A screen will open showing the Fund details.
- Scroll to the bottom of the Fund details page.
- Tap Delete Budget Item.
- A prompt will ask, you to confirm your choice. If you want to remove the Fund still, tap "Yes, Delete."
Pro Tip: You can swipe left on the Fund item in the mobile app to delete the item. You'll see the same pop-up asking to confirm your choice.
