Funds can be edited to account for changes in your personal goals. The Emergency Fund will be treated the same as any other Fund and can be updated to reflect your Baby Steps progress (Baby Step 1 or 3).
To edit your Funds (on the web version):
- Start on the main Budget page.
- Click the budget item that is a Fund (piggy bank icon).
- Click the blue circle (with a plus sign in it) in the bottom right corner of the screen to add a new transaction.
- Enter the correct transaction details including the amount needed to edit or correct the balance of your fund.
- Click Track Expense.
To edit your Funds (on the mobile app):
- Start on the main Budget page.
- Tap on the budget item that is a Fund (piggy bank icon).
- Tap the blue circle (with a plus sign in it) in the bottom right corner of the screen to add a new transaction.
- Enter the correct transaction details including the amount needed to edit or correct the balance of your fund.
- Tap Done.
💡 Example/Tip: Your Fund balance is $100 when it should be $80. Create a $20 expense transaction and assign it to the fund item. Just leave a note on the transaction so you don't forget why it's there.
