How to Turn Off Two-Factor Authentication

You can turn off two-factor authentication (2FA) from your EveryDollar account settings on a computer. After you disable it, you will no longer need a verification code when signing in.

 

Before You Begin

  • Use a computer to access EveryDollar.
  • Have your EveryDollar account password ready.

 

Steps

  1. On a computer, sign in to your account at EveryDollar.com.
  2. Click the arrow next to your email address in the bottom-left corner.
  3. Select Settings.
  4. Click Manage Your Account.
  5. Select Security.
  6. In the Two-Factor Authentication section, click Turn Off.
  7. Enter your email address and then account password if prompted.
  8. Click Yes, Turn It Off. Two-factor authentication is disabled immediately.

 

You can turn 2FA back on at any time from the same account page.

Turning off 2FA removes an extra layer of protection from your account.
