Keeping track of how much you have planned, spent, and remaining each month is key to successful budgeting. When you know your numbers, you know if your plan is working or needs to be changed. EveryDollar makes getting that info easy on both the website and mobile app.
On the EveryDollar..com
- Open your budget at everydollar.com.
- Click the Summary icon in the top right corner of the screen (it’s next to the Transactions icon).
- You’ll see a colored doughnut graph showing your overall budget status. The number in the center of the doughnut graph shows your monthly total for the column you have selected.
- Just below the doughnut graph, you’ll find links to view your Planned, Spent, and Remaining totals for the month.
-
These totals are also broken down by each Budget Group, giving you a clear picture of where your money is going.
On EveryDollar Mobile
- Open the EveryDollar app and go to the Budget view.
-
At the very top of the screen, just under the month and year, you’ll see three tabs: Planned, Spent and Remaining. Tap between these tabs to view your totals.
- You can access the Budget Summary on the app, which displays your monthly totals, by tapping the Today icon at the bottom left of the screen and scrolling down until you see "Budget Summary". If you click See Full Summary, this opens a new screen to show that colored doughnut graph.
Pro Tip: If your Remaining amount for an individual budget item(s) looks off, check to see if you have the Safe To Spend feature turned on in your Settings. When turned on, each Budget Item's remaining amount will show what is safe to spend based on your paycheck plan.
