How to Delete a Bank

At times, you may choose to remove a connection to your linked financial institution. If an institution does not provide an option to remove individual sub-accounts, you will need to delete the connection as a whole.

To delete the entire connection to your bank, follow the steps below.

Deleting a Bank

Individual bank sub-accounts can be removed from EveryDollar depending on whether the financial institution allows for individual removal. If not, then you may choose to delete the entire bank or turn off the Transactions Streaming toggle so you no longer receive transactions for the account.

Delete a Bank on EveryDollar.com

1. Click Accounts in the left hand menu.
2. You will see a list of all of the bank connections that have been added. Click the ellipsis icon (...) to the right of the bank name you want to delete.
3. Click the Remove Institution button.
4. The institution you've removed, and all associated sub-accounts, will no longer be listed on your Accounts page and will not import transactions any longer. 

Delete a Bank in EveryDollar Mobile

1. Tap the Accounts button at the bottom of the screen.
2. Tap the Ellipsis Icon (...) to the right of the bank you wish to remove.
3. Tap Remove Institution.
4. Lastly, confirm this action by selecting Yes, Remove It.
