To make a Fund a regular budget item again, delete the existing Fund and create a new budget item with a slightly different name. Funds cannot be turned off once enabled, and budget item names must be unique.
Before You Begin
- Note the Fund’s current balance if it has money saved.
-
Choose a new name for the regular budget item. For example, change Car Maintenance Fund to Car Maintenance.

Additional Information
Deleting a Fund un-tracks any transactions assigned to it, including split transactions. Review your transactions after deleting the Fund and track them to the appropriate budget item.
Next Steps
Open your budget and add a planned amount to the new budget item. Continue tracking related transactions to that item as you spend. If the Fund you deleted had transactions assigned to it, those should be un-tracked now, so be sure to track them to the correct budget item in your budget.
