If you are new to EveryDollar, make sure you complete all of the onboarding questions in a single session before saving your first budget. Leaving the onboarding process before you have finished may prevent some or all of the budget information you entered from being saved, which means you may need to enter it again when you return.
Before You Begin
- Set aside enough time to complete all onboarding questions without leaving the app or website.
- It may help to have your expected income, monthly expenses, debts, and savings goals ready. You can edit these details after onboarding, so don’t worry about having everything perfect.
Steps For New Users
- Open the EveryDollar mobile app or sign in at EveryDollar.com and begin the onboarding process.
- Answer each onboarding question as it appears.
- Continue through every screen or section without exiting the app or website.
- Review your budget when onboarding is complete.
Additional Information
Your budget is fully saved after you complete all of the onboarding questions. You can edit your budget anytime after onboarding is complete.
If you exit onboarding before finishing or plan to return later, the information you entered may not save.
