If you need a fresh start with your monthly budget, EveryDollar offers a couple of options to help you reset it. You can reset all of your Planned amounts to $0 or replace the current month’s budget with the previous month’s setup; we’ll walk you through both options below.
How to Reset Your Monthly Budget on Web
- Sign in at EveryDollar.com and open the month you want to reset.
- Scroll to the bottom of your budget.
- Click Reset Budget button at the bottom below the budget.
- Choose one of the two reset options:
- Make all planned amounts $0.00 – This clears the Planned amounts so you can rebuild the month while keeping your budget items in place.
- Replace this month's budget with last month's budget – This replaces the current month's budget with the setup from the previous month (including budget items, planned amounts, and groups), and any tracked transactions in this month will be untracked.
- Click the blue Next button for the option you want to use.

Additional Information
Currently, it is not possible to delete a month once it has been created, and EveryDollar does not provide a feature to perform a hard reset of a budget month.
Heads up, there's no way to 'undo' the Reset!
When a future month's budget is created, and changes are made to the current month, those changes (like adding new groups or budget items) will not automatically copy over. For this reason, you may not want to start future budgets too far in advance.
If you want to start completely over with EveryDollar, you can sign up for a brand new account with a different email address and start fresh that way.
