Annotations for current or future budgeting intentions (i.e. due dates, reminders, etc.) can be captured directly on a budget line item by using the "Notes" feature.
Looking to set a due date for a future month? Due dates can only be set for the current month, but writing a note can help keep tabs on future due dates or other annotations.
On the EveryDollar website:
- Click on the budget line item in question. The right-hand side will open up details for that line item.
- Click inside the box that says Add a Note.
- Type your note.
- Click Save
💡 Pro Tip: When using the website, notes will not save unless the blue "Save" button is clicked. Clicking outside of the box mid-note will clear unsaved changes.
On the EveryDollar mobile app:
- Tap on the budget line item in question.
- Tap the Add a Note box.
- Type your note.
- Tap Done on your keyboard or anywhere outside of the box
💡 Pro Tip: When using the mobile app, notes will save automatically without the need to select a "Save" button. This is different from the website version.
