Emergency Fund Tracker

I would like to request an Emergency Fund Tracker that I believe aligns with the Ramsey Baby Steps and in giving users Financial Peace. The overall concept is a tool to clearly define essential versus non-essential items in the budget and track total costs to create an accurate monthly emergency fund need.

The idea is to take any one user's monthly budget and give budget items a tag as Critical or Non-Critical. On selecting an “Emergency Fund” tab on the left side of the page, it will dynamically list Critical-tagged items. As Critical items are added to the “Emergency Fund Tracker”, it will dynamically calculate a total monthly need from the itemized costs from the budget. An excellent byproduct of this is as itemized costs in the monthly budget increase or decrease based on changing life needs, the Emergency Fund Tracker updates your total to give an ever accurate estimate of costs in times of crisis.

When you are in a time of crisis, then is not the time to be planning what you can or can't spend money on. Having a tool that clearly defines your spending plan in a crisis not only builds your confidence in an Emergency Fund, but also gives you Financial Peace.
