Allow subcategories (e.g., Groceries → Trader Joe’s, Sprouts). This feature allows better tracking,  and allows cost comparison tracking to make better financial decisions.

  Agree and support this idea.  I want to keep “Vacation” in the Lifestyle group but want subcategories to track Transportation, Food, lodging, Entertainment, etc.

  I agree with this.  It would make it simpler to estimate what the vacation would cost right in the app versus having to do a separate calculation outside of it.

  Subcategories would be a great feature vs keeping a main category for each.  We keep a multiple sinking funds for mini vaca, bucket list vacation, annual insurance, Christmas, etc and would like to know how much is building for each. Currently we have to add the remaining of each one to reconcile with the bank savings account.  PS We love EveryDollar especially the running cash balance to easily plan when to schedule expenses and stay on track.

  Subcategories are definitely something I want. All my sinking funds would benefit from subcategories
