Budget: Ability to plan for yearly or quarterly expenses without pre populating the budget
I have some expenses that are yearly or quarterly and it would be helpful to be able to load them some place and have them automatically added to that month's budget when appropriate. For example, my alarm service is paid yearly, it would be helpful to have a place to log that pending payment and have it apply to the appropriate month when the budget is launched for that month.

Amber, we often recommend converting a Budget Line item into a Fund to help plan for non-monthly expenses. This would allow you to budget a certain amount each month, rolling over the budget item's remaining balance for the month the payment is due. Are you currently using Funds for these?
Also, is this idea to be able to select which months you want a Budget Item to be hidden vs displayed?

I appreciate the explanation on using funds – that definitely helps for planning ahead and smoothing out those non-monthly expenses
what I’m getting at a slightly different though it would be really helpful if there were a way to set up reoccurring budget items across the entire year based on a specific dates or months same idea for annual or quarterly expenses just them giving each user a full year framework upfront instead of rebuilding or remembering everything. I think combining make the system a lot more intuitive and proactive.0 -
YES!! I just posted about a very similar request! I don't always need to break down the cost into a monthly savings.
