Here are some important things to know about transaction syncing:
- Banks don't typically post transactions during weekends or holidays. Most transactions from this time frame should appear in EveryDollar by Tuesday of the following week.
- Transactions normally show up within 24-48 hours after the purchase has been "posted" to the bank's website.
- Banks may put additional holds on some deposits and expenses, which can cause a further delay.
What happens when you connect your bank for the first time?
When you connect to your bank for the first time, you should receive an initial download of transactions within 24 hours. Depending on the bank, this initial download of transactions could include 1 to 30 days' worth of transactions; however, the exact history is determined by the bank. How long will it take for transactions to show up? Your transactions will not be imported into EveryDollar until they are actually "posted" to your bank's website. EveryDollar will never import "pending" transactions because those aren't finalized and we aren't given access to unfinished data. The time frame is usually 24-48 hours from the time the purchase has been "posted" to your bank's website. Most banks will not post transactions over the weekend or on major holidays, so that may cause further delay! If your transactions have already been "posted" to your bank account but are still not appearing in EveryDollar, please submit a screenshot example of two or three transactions that have been posted to your bank's website, but are missing from EveryDollar.
